E322 – ABRTA Series: Doesn’t commands to Priests and Pastors imply consumption for others?
(A Biblical Response to Alcohol Series)
This is a classic argument by those who would question the Bible’s clear stand against alcohol consumption when taking into account a full view of Scripture and history. And it’s one that seems to have some stability! Some would say, “Doesn’t this imply that if you are not a pastor, you can drink? Why would the Bible tell you that pastors can’t drink if it doesn’t mean that? Doesn’t the verse about the priests imply that they could drink outside of the priesthood?”
